22 Weeks

Hello and happy thanks giving!!!! Hope y’all gained 15 pounds like me! just kidding I don't think I gained 15 pounds.

          First off I just want to let everyone know how grateful I am for all of the support I have received. Thank you so much to my family and to my ward for the sacrifices that have made it possible for me to be out here. I am sooo very grateful for the letters and emails I receive each week, they mean so much and give me so much strength! I am so grateful for full tithe payers. I am grateful for the food I have to eat every day. I am grateful for animals! I am grateful for my parents. I am so grateful for my savior. I am extremely grateful for my membership is this church! I could go on but I will stop.

Thanks Giving with Sister Betty Kerr and her friends =) this was our first thanks giving dinner. The guy with the white beards name is Gordon Seyfried played for the Cleveland Indians baseball team, He was the pitcher in 1963-64.He was pretty funny, he kept swearin and Betty would get mad at him ha ha Betty made ALLLL of that food and she washed AALLL of the dishes!!! She has so much charity!

  

          Sooooo.... Thanks giving went great for Sister Gardner and I! We ate thanks giving lunch with Betty and a few of her non-member friends. Then we ran over to “Johns Place” a restaurant that serves free thanks giving dinner and we wished everyone there a happy thanks giving and we gave them all pass along cards! Don't know if that was socially appropriate but we did it anyways! It was really fun and exciting and awkward all at the same time! We met some interesting people! 

          For Thanks giving dinner we ate at the Prudholms, they are all so kind. I am so grateful for their willingness to not only let us missionaries join in but several other people who didn’t have anywhere else to go either. I asked them if they had A1 and they did! I was so happy. They thought it was pretty strange that I put A1 on my turkey and ham... BUT I dared them to all try it and guess what!?! They liked it! We laughed a lot and talked about what we were grateful for. Sister Prudholm is so funny and kind and spiritual and she is a convert! I want to be like her someday! Is it possible for me to become a convert......???

Cool shirt huh!?!? an Awesome convert in the singles Branch wore this shirt for a date (they dressed up crazy and went bowling) and we saw them and I said I WANT THAT SHIRT! and he said Ok. So now it's mine!! =D yeeehaa

So this week we were reading with an investigator and her sister and we talked to her about the spirit and how it communicates with us and stuff. Then we read Ether 12.... The room was filled with the spirit! She said that when she was reading it she felt the spirit so strong and that it was so beautiful that she wanted to cry! It made me want to cry just hearing her say that! I told her that the spirit testifies of truth and now she can say she has a testimony of Ether 12! She isn't getting baptized next week, she isn't ready. We are going to pray with her about a date this week! I LOVED THAT LESSON!! I LOVE THE SPIRIT!!

So we were teaching a couple a few weeks ago and they moved to Dessert Hot Springs... The Elders were finally able to meet with them on Tuesday and they were able to teach them. After one of our appointments we see a voicemail.. it's from the DHS Elders.. we call them and they say " THEY HAVE A DATE!!!" AYAYAYAYAYAYYAAYAYYA! They will be baptized on Jan 11th =D I am so happy for them! The gospel is going to change their lives!

So... I was reading in the Christmas Coalville stake book things and someone who is in the Philippines said that Philipinos are so blunt, in a loving way and I laughed cause I know several philipinos here.. Including Allan our YSA ward mission leader.. she talked about how they point out zits and gaining weight ha ha.  Yesterday Allan asks me... "what kind of cleaner do you put on your face" (translation.... I have never seen such a zitty face in my life what in the world are you doing to your face!!?) ha ha so he has been giving me advice on my acne...... he gave me some of the stuff that he uses and I set up an appointment to meet with a dermatologist on the 16th. hm. that was a pointless story. . sorry. ok well I've gotta go! I love you all! Pray! Read the scriptures! Read the ensigns! Watch Mormon messages! Share them with your friends!

So... Saturday was not a very good day... we had 3 appointments set with investigators and all of them fell through! I was feeling really down and bummed and frustrated so I just start crying while we are driving to Nora's house to let her dogs out. something I have realized is that when I cry I'm going to be emotional for the next hour and a half! so I stopped crying.... then at Nora's house I was all happy because I got to pet the dogs and whatever and then when we were leaving them they looked so sad! I got all teary... ha ha then we got to the Baptism for Adam (Othere Sisters) and on the front of his baptism program was this picture!!! And I just lost it!! ha ha I start crying again... because it's so beautiful and baptisms are AMAZING and Adam looked so happy! ha ha yea.. I'm insane.

P.S. We have been teaching Bruce for about 2 months, we have invited him to be baptized several times. He would always have a strange reason… this week we invited several investigators to a baptism including him. No one showed up… then! Bruce showed up a few minutes late =) yay! After we talked to him about it, he really liked it. The next day in church, baptism came up several times and he found a scripture that he liked… Alma 32:16 he shared it with everyone. Then in the singles branch (he goes to both) baptism came up again! Sister Gardner and I were like “I hope Bruce is listening………” then at linger longer Bruce randomly says “ so Sisters I’ve been thinking of a baptism date” I almost had a heart attack and choked on my food, "you have??!!" blah blah blah... then Naturally... I say " Bruce will you prepare yourself to be baptized on January 4th?" hahahahhahahaha... I'm such a sister missionary... yahoo! I'm so excited for Bruce! I hope I can be here for his baptism.

Shadrack. He had a lot of fun at the grammys. I was jealous... he got several pictures of Taylor Swift. When I was baring my testimony Yesterday in singles branch I look over at him and this is the face he is making ha ha. He can make so UGLIES.. I even showed him my ugliest face ha ha!
