Week 34

This week has been alright............... EMILY GOT BAPTIZED so that was the highlight =D She was so happy and full of light! I was so happy for her! She said that she wants to go on a mission!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT! oh my word she would be such a wonderful missionary. she gets 10 points on the "being a powerful missionary scale"  just for being a convert! I love her so much, I am so excited for her to receive all the blessings of the gospel! The down part of this week was one of our investigators who was SO excited and so happy and so ready to get baptized has been reading a bunch of anti Mormon stuff... It really broke my heart. I really do love her and her family and I want them to have the gospel so bad. I was holding in tears the whole time we were visiting her and listening to all the anti she had been reading. After we left her house I just bursted into tears. I hope and pray that she will be able to recognize truth and that she will be able to remember the way she felt in our previous lessons, at church and as she read.

EMILY GOT BAPTIZED!!! AHHHHH!!! I was so happy/ really stressed out because the elder that was going to baptize her called me 15 mins before the baptism and told me they got a flat................................................................... so yea i was freaking out a little, but obviously we found someone who holds the priesthood and got her baptized!

I came out here on a mission  because God told me to and after making a list because it would make me stronger, I would be a good example to my future children, because service is good, because I wantrd a stronger testimony. The reason why I came out on a mission is completely different than why I have stayed out here.  I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ, that is why I have stayed. I made a promise to them and I will keep it! I will stay out here until Dec 23rd unless He tells me other wise. eeek. That was scary to say... because sometimes I really do just want to be done. God has put his trust in me and I do not want to let him down. I want to help as many of my brothers and sister here in California to receive true happiness! I want to do Gods will. Before my mission I always wondered "why do we have to do him will!?!? why can't we just do what we want!!?" because Gods will, EVERYTHING he asks us to do is for our good. It will make us happy if we would just trust in him and do his will. I have learned that. Nothing he has asked us to do will produce sadness.... YES it might be difficult but ULTIMENTLY it will give us true joy =). Wow ok I just lectured myself. Fine I will stay.

Ha ha this is what they do when someone says "ok picture!" I love them =D they are wieirdos

ok, FUNNIES OF THE WEEK:

It was dark out side and I was already a little sketched out... and Steve my friend and investigator greeted me at their huge glass door with a big scary mask, I screamed. loud.

The Vikdal Family are (awesome!!) all black belt and they taught us some self defense moves. A few days after a man named Lorenzos (who was under the influence of something) who we talked with for about 10 minutes and a homeless man near Lorenzos apartment complex who we were walking and talking with almost got into a fight over us ha ha ha Lorenzon yells "hey those are my girls" then the homeless man yells something and I'm thinking about all the moves that the Vikdals taught us and I'm getting ready to use them. Lorenzo starts speeding up closer to us and the bum and sister Rogers stops and I grab her and say LETS GO! and they continue to yell at each other ha ha ok this story isn't making sense... anyway! all is well and they didn't hurt each other and we gave the Bum a book of Mormon and we gave the elders Lorenzos number because we are NOT ever talking to him again. ok sorry that was kind of a dumb story...

ok during our anti Mormon "lesson" the only thing that was keeping me from crying was the country music that was playing in the background. It was nice =) I think there is a new song called "chillin it.." or something but that sounded beautiful. Thank you country music for keeping me in tact.

We don't' see grass very often..... Sister Harper REALLY misses grass so she made this little shrine. The scripture fits very nicely =)

this week I did the strangest kind of service I have ever done.... I filed a lady in our wards nails! ha ha. It felt so good to help her out though! she got bit by a spider and lost movement to her one of her hands. If you are un happy go help someone! go do service and I promise you, you will feel much happier!

ok end of funnies.
