"People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care"
Hi everyone who i LOVE!!! I'm trying to become more comfortable with saying that word hehehe. I love that quote above, it is so true! I have come to know that being on my mission. I have also come to know that it's the spirit that touches and changes peoples heart not the words we say. As we share the gospel with others we should do it out of LOVE, if not... we might as well no do it at all!
This week started out pretty dang rocky... we had to leave a lesson early because I was feeling overwhelmed and something our investigator said hurt me and... i could really teach and the spirit was GONE! I was really embarrassed but it needed to happen. I have been holding so much in, i finally just EXPLODED! good thing Betty was with us at the lesson or i would have probably just covered it up and continue on to our last two lessons of the night... we went to Brother and Sister Trammells to talk and to get me a priesthood blessing. I am so grateful that i have ppl here who love me. I am also grateful for the priesthood and for worthy priesthood holders. After my blessing I stopped shaking and and my breathing calmmed down and i was totally calm. I know that satan was trying to discourage me from working my hardest and at my best. The days following that embarrassing/blurry night where full of miracles!
Sister Rogers and I met with a lady name Maudie who we met about 2 months ago, she is now a new investigator! she had a sincere desire to find truth and happiness not only for herself but for her children!
We also met with Rick (who was present at the lesson where i started crying) and he is now a new investigator! He is suck a sweet and caring man who wants peace in his life. last night we taught him the plan of salvation and he said the "he makes him feel good, and it gives him comfort" his wife died about 5 years ago and he has been wondering and has been holding this burden of where she is? and if she is still in pain. Gods plan helped him to see that she is waiting, learning and pain free.
On Friday Sister Rogers and I went walking in Joshua Tree, we decided to talk to LITERALLY EVERYONE. And we did! and guess what! we found 4 potential investigators! people who actually said they wouldn't mind meeting with us! we were so happy! I think that is my favorite thing to do it talk to people.... i just like to find nice, funny, happy people who are willing to talk to us!
I know that NONE of these things would have happened if i would have thrown in the towel that night and quit. I know that satan really is out there and he is trying his hardest to stop the hastening of Gods work. I also know that God and Christ's teachings are stronger and more powerful than Satan pathetic efforts in dragging people down. Don't ever let Satan win.He will just laugh at you after he has influenced you to fall into deep sorrow and despair. Christ is the one we should cling to, NEVER let go.

I too, and gratefull for the trials i have been through in my life. They have helped me to become stronger and ultamatly come closer to my savior and my Heavenly father.
