Week 63

First things first............... KyLee Adams and Gage Carlsen email me right now!! Please =) kersey.davis@myldsmail.net

Me, Sister Young and sister Buswell.
Sister Young and I go home together =)

This week has been great! Full of blistering heat and beautiful miracles =D

One of our potential Investigators son is graduating from army boot-camp in October and they really want to fly there to go see him graduate. BUT they don't have the money so she is trying to raise money, we told her she should make cookies for her neighbors! So we made cookies with her this week and she had an awesome experience meeting her neighbors, she is well on her way to seeing her son Graduate.

Library we go to every Monday. It rained that day so i got to wear a long sleeve, it was fun!

On Tuesday night we had the Rodriguez family teach us the Restoration. It was GREAT! They ALL participated. Jordyne (13) made posters and asked us questions, it was so cute. We could tell that she really tried. Andy (15) also had a poster when teaching us about Joseph Smith, he taught us what the word "restore" means. They showed us a video and sung a song! It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL, probably one of the most beautiful moments of my mission. It has been such a blessing to see them feel the spirit and to see the gospel come back into sister Rodriguez life. They all attended church the next Sunday too. I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!

The Rodriguez family! They are a less active family now coming back! ! Last Monday they taught us the restoration. It was the Sweetest thing EVER!!!They made these posters, showed us a video and said a song together! it was amazing. I am so grateful to be working with such amazing people =) they prepared such an amazing lesson. I was in filling up with tears of joy most of the lesson.

We have also been working with the Loredo couple since we have been here. (4 months?) The last lesson we had with them was awesome! The spirit was really strong and they both committed to come to church. They talked about how things were better and happier when they were going to church. They were excited to renew their covenants. And they did. The sacrament talks were perfect too! I love renewing my covenants every week!! =D Sunday is my favorite I will take the sacrament ever Sunday for the rest of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Made cookies this week for a bunch of our potential investigators. I still LOVE cookie dough. I was actually quite the home maker this week ;) i did it for you dad! Happy birthday!!!! I’m learning how to cook!

I love this Gospel! I've never experience this kind of Happiness in my life! Difficulties still come, and they always will. I feel like i have gained a knowledge of having an eternal perspective. I am so grateful for this experience. When difficult time come, hold on. Don't let that small moment break you. God has true happiness waiting around the corner =)

Love,
Sister Kersey Davis

Week 61 & 62

I will Start with the Funnies this week =D there are quite a few...

I say hi to and african american guy across the street he yells back "heeeey snow flake" ha ha

one of our investigators needed help with math. we go over there and sister Buswell helps her with math for 45 mins and i'm just Sitting there.............................................................. i'm not good at math...

BEAUTIFUL Fontana cacti!!!

A semi truck ran a red light. Ha ha EVERYONE runs reds here.

A drunk man lectured me about how i should be praying to the virgin Mary. His hand was about 1 inch away from my face during the 7 minute lecture.

Just walkin around in the blistering heat. It's fine.

Someone asked me "what happened to your face?" ha ha i said... oh.. i have acne...

The past two weeks have been pretty amazing!! we have had so many wonderful miracles and of course there is always opposition in all things. . .

Picking the BIGGEST grape fruit i have ever seen in my life!

it's as big as my head!!! yes, i walked around with this.

We are teaching a spanish family that we have been "friends" with since we got here. The past few weeks we have been bringing up the Book of Mormon and religious stuff and they said "yea we haven't taken the classes yet.." we said... "can we come teach you the lessons??" they said YES!!!! BUt... we want it in spanish.. We were SOOO sad.. but happy for them. THEN the next time we went over they said "actually we decided we want to have the lessons in english" They are doing GREAAT!!! The Dad is reading the Book of Mormon EVERy night and he said that he feels in his heart that it is true!!!! =D The mom is pregnant and hasn't been able to read any yet. She said she is a little confused and that she is wondering why she has nver heard of Joseph smith before. She said "i know i need to read" =D =D we taught them family prayer and they are praying every night together =) i love teaching them because we try to teach EXTREMELY simple. They are SO prepared. I LOVE them so much.

heated up our patties in our car while we were in district meeting =) YUM!

Another Miracle we had was that we decided to walk instead of drive to a less actives house. On our way there we met a girl who just came here from Mexico. she said "are you guys mormon?? oh my mom and Sister just got baptized mormon" we asked where she lived and went and visited them =)

something i realized this week is that I LOVE TEACHING CHILDREN!!!!!Their hearts are so open and they are so anxious to learn. This is Zeike, he is Paraguay. He is always excited to see the missionaries =D

I love this Gospel and i love Sharing it with others =D Jesus Christ alows us to change and to become better, to become clean and to be healed from guilt. It helps us to have inner peace. Isn't that what every one wants!??! that is what every one needs.

"no on can go back and start a new beginning but everyone can start today and make a new ending"
-i don't remember
Ophilia (fifi) Sister Brownes baby. She is the best behaved baby i have ever associated myself with! I can't wait to hold her =) she is always smiling. This week Sister Browne Bore her testimony and fifi was trying to grab the mike the whole time ha ha it was funny. Sister Brownes Testimony was so powerful! I am so grateful i had the opportunity to teach her. I felt like a proud mother hearing her share what she knows to be true.

We can all CHANGE. because of him. http://easter.mormon.org/

Choose one thing that you can change today and do it! become a better you!

Sister Kersey Davis
